2. Spatial Planning
This project comprises three primary functional spaces: the Control Room (1st Floor), the Recording Room (1st Floor), and the Immersive Arrangement Suite (2nd Floor).
Control Room
Located on the ground floor, the control room occupies approximately 35㎡ and sits adjacent to the recording room.
The room is equipped with a complete FLUID FX50 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos monitoring system, with ATC SCM150 PRO main monitors serving as the primary reference speakers.
Designed primarily for immersive and surround audio production, the control room supports Dolby Atmos music mixing while also providing a highly accurate monitoring environment for music production. Renowned for their exceptional midrange detail and sonic accuracy, the ATC SCM150 PRO monitors are particularly well suited for critical vocal and instrument evaluation.
A professional studio observation window connects the control room and recording room. The window utilizes a multi-layer angled glass structure that maintains excellent sound isolation while allowing clear visual communication between engineers and performers.
Recording Room
The recording room covers approximately 20㎡.
To meet professional acoustic standards, a dedicated sound lock is installed at the entrance, creating an acoustically isolated transition space that significantly improves overall sound isolation performance.
The room is designed for:
Vocal recording, narration, and voice-over production
Recording small acoustic instruments such as violin, guitar, and traditional Chinese instruments
Acoustic instrument sampling sessions
The control room and recording room share a warm-toned design language that creates a comfortable and welcoming working environment. Clean geometric forms combined with integrated linear lighting establish a contemporary studio aesthetic.
A key design objective for the recording room was to maximize usable floor area while maintaining visual depth and spatial character. To achieve this, acoustic fabric panels in varying colors were combined with custom-built wall-wash lighting, creating a distinctive feature wall that serves as the visual focal point of the space.
Immersive Composition Suite
Located on the second floor, the composition suite occupies approximately 45㎡, making it the larger of the two immersive production spaces within the facility.
Like the control room, it is equipped with ATC SCM150 PRO midfield monitors.
The space is primarily used for:
Music composition and arrangement
Virtual instrument programming and sample orchestration
Preliminary mixing and production work
Unlike the warm atmosphere of the ground-floor spaces, the composition suite adopts a darker design language featuring black finishes paired with ice-blue lighting accents. This creates a more futuristic, immersive, and technology-driven creative environment.
Special attention was given to incorporating high-performance acoustic windows. These sound-isolating glazed structures preserve natural daylight and ventilation wherever possible while maintaining the acoustic integrity of the room, resulting in a brighter and more open working environment.
